The Climate Change Education Network is an open collective of academics working in climate change education across various school, university, public and community spaces of learning.

We came together for connection and support as we each tried to make sense of the events surrounding the Australian bushfire disaster of 2019/2020. We originally sought connection to one another with the wider intention of creating an action response to the climate crisis, and to address the lack of climate change pedagogy and curriculum in educational settings. We continued meeting as the COVID-19 pandemic cast a shadow across the landscape, adding further complexity to the contexts in which we work, play, live.

With the changing nature of the landscape, challenges to our communities, and the social and ecological shifts which have occurred in the last few years, we understand climate change education to be more critical as ever.

We meet fortnightly by Zoom to connect and share our work, and have a range of projects underway which we hope will help us address the issues we see as important. Please explore our site to learn more about our community, our work and our curated resources for climate change education.
