In 2024 the Australian Climate Change Education Summit brought together education communities including young people, teachers and educators, scientists, researchers, policymakers, and activists, to set the climate change education action agenda for 2024 onwards. Throughout 2024 they hosted a speaker series and developed a call to action for a Climate Change Education Strategy for Australia. Initially hosted by Deakin University’s Centre for Regenerating Future, since 2025 the Climate Change Education Summit is now jointly convened by the Australian Association for Environmental Education (AAEE).
